BENJAMIN

WONG

Born and raised in Hong Kong, I spent 5 formative years in Minnesota and have called New York City home since 2000. From sketching fashion figures at age 6, to making Barbie clothes as a teenager, to studying runway shows and designing gowns for friends and family, creativity was never a phase - it was an early and defining constant.

That foundation led me to New York City, where I trained in an art+design-driven environment at Pratt Institute. Immersed in a competitive yet collaborative culture, I earned my BFA and received the Marc Brower Design Award at graduation. The experience sharpened my creative point of view while instilling discipline, rigor, and a deep respect for craft.

I began my career in womenswear, but opportunity - and instinct - pulled me toward menswear, where I found my true focus. My experience spans mass market to premium worlds, across woven shirts, denim, outerwear, knits, and soft accessories. I’ve worked with brands including Joseph Abboud, Kenneth Cole, Van Heusen, DKNY, Calvin Klein, and most recently as Lead Designer for Tommy Hilfiger Tailored Shirts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas into market.

This path has shaped a design approach grounded in clarity, collaboration, and execution. I thrive on translating vision into product, mentoring creative teams, and balancing creativity with commercial realities. As I continue to evolve, my focus remains on building meaningful design stories, elevating brands, and creating work that resonates.
